Student Senate Elections at the Brevard Center

The Brevard Center recently held their Student Senate elections. Senators are regarded as role models for the students and are given the honor of representing their peers at the Brevard Center. The Student Senate also organizes social functions and partakes in all of our Community Service events throughout the year. Past social events have included a Halloween party, chili cook-offs and movie nights. We are excited to see what the Student Senate will be planning this year.

I am pleased to announce the Student Senators for the 2009 – 2010 year.
Our President, Moultrie Woodall, is a second year student at the Brevard Center. He is currently enrolled at Brevard Community College. Moultrie also enjoys his internship as a docent/tour guide at the Historic Rossetter House and has had several speaking opportunities representing our students at our CIP community functions.

Our Vice-President, Ben Kesselhaut, is in the second half of his first semester at CIP. Ben is currently taking classes at BCC and will be completing his requirements for his AA degree this spring. Ben has just started his internship at the Rossetter House and is excited to be exploring the field of hospitality and tourism in Brevard County.

Our Treasurer, Peter Snell, is in his second year at the Brevard Center. Peter will be completing his AA degree by next summer. Peter is interested in pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in environmental science or biology from the Florida Institute of Technology next fall. Peter is currently doing an internship at the Brevard Community College science lab.
Our Secretary, Jay Mikush, is a first year student at the Brevard Center. Jay is actively pursuing his private pilot’s license and has started his internship with Baer Air at a local airport. Jay is also taking a class at Brevard Community College.

We are very proud of our students’ accomplishments and look forward to a great year! Please join us in welcoming them to their new positions.
