Bloomington Welcomes New Residential Coordinator
Meet Megan Ertel, the Bloomington Center’s new Residential Coordinator!
Megan grew up in North Vernon, Indiana and graduated with her B.A. in Psychology from the University of Indianapolis. She went on to receive a M.A. in Clinical Psychology from U of I. Wanting to focus on all types of health and wellness, not just mental health, brought her to Indiana University, where she received her M.S. in Health Promotion after one year of intense schooling.
Interviewing at the Bloomington Center she felt she had found the perfect match to both her passions, psychology and health promotion. Also, her past clinical experience had provided her with various rewarding experiences working with individuals with Asperger’s and autism. Working with college age students has always been an interest of hers, so to find a facility that focused on teaching students how to become independent and live healthy lives is a perfect match.
Megan likes to spend her free time playing tennis, running, hiking, and walking—she likes being outside as much as possible, especially with her partner Seth and their dog, Kylie Sue. Family is also very important to Megan; she tries to visits her brothers’ families as often as she can.
She is honored to be the new Residential Coordinator for the Bloomington Center and looks forward to helping our students realize their potential in claiming their place as citizens of the world.
