Susan Moreno Speaks to the Berkeley Center at Parents Weekend

During the 2009 Parent Weekend at the CIP Berkeley Center, staff, students and their families welcomed special guest and CIP advisory board member, Susan Moreno, who presented a keynote providing valuable tips to families concerning short and long-term planning strategies for a students care.

Susan Moreno, founder and president of MAAP Services, Inc. in Indiana, spoke about her personal experiences raising her daughter on the spectrum through college, giving the audience some much needed foresight and often humorous stories to go along with it.

In addition to Susan Moreno’s presentation, staff honored students accomplishments and shared future plans, the 2009/2010 Berkeley Student Senators were announced and three students gave spectacular speeches about their experiences at the College Internship Program.
