Brevard Center Internship Spotlight: Baer Air

Jay at internshipJay Mikush, a first year student at the Brevard Center, is a young man with his head in the clouds. His goal is to be a pilot and he’s currently working on a private pilot’s license. His internship at Baer Air, a charter jet service in Melbourne, is a perfect match for him since it gives him the opportunity to learn about all aspects of aviation.

Pumpkins in the Park – A 5k Run!

5k runThis semester two students competed in the annual Pumpkins in the Park 5k run! Peter Snell and Ben Kesselhaut (both former Health & Wellness students of the month) trained for three months prior and on the day of the race finished the race in 41 minutes and 30 minutes respectively. Both students ran the entire race course, which included a scenic waterfront portion and several hills.

Our hope is that by following these few helpful tips, families may lessen the stress of the holiday season and make it a more enjoyable experience for everyone involved.
